Blood Oxygen & Heart Rate Monitor
A blood oxygen monitor is absolutely necessary when using the AltoLab altitude simulator. It is
needed to monitor your blood oxygen levels as you go to altitude. These devices also measure
your heart rate. You simply clip it over your finger, press the on button and wait about 10 seconds
before it starts reading your % blood O2 and heart rate in beats per minute (BPM).
This blood oxygen monitor is designed to monitor blood oxygen levels and heart rate as you
undergo your AltoLab session. It acts as a biofeedback device that teaches you how your
breathing style (frequent, shallow breaths vs. deep, long breaths) affects your blood oxygen. It
determines whether you are staying sea level (100-95% O2) or going hypoxic (from 92% and
below). The AltoLab unit is particularly well suited for this. It weighs less than 2 oz. and uses 2
AAA batteries last for about 30 hrs. of use and includes a 2 yr. warranty.
The AltoLab blood oxygen and heart rate monitor is packed in a sturdy, water proof case and
comes with a small leather carry pouch when you take on work outs.
