AltoLab training is particularly well-suited for boxing to improve aerobic conditioning and to
become acclimated to fighting at high altitude venues such as Lake Tahoe, Mexico City,
Denver and Albuquerque. It typically takes at
least  3 weeks of training at high altitude camps
to get acclimated to the rigors of thin air. However, this is usually accompanied by a significant
loss of weight and muscle mass that is unacceptable to fighters. With
AltoLab fighters can
train at their home base during the day and do
AltoLab sessions during the evening to get
acclimated to altitude, regardless of where they live.
AltoLab trained fighters notice that they
can keep their hands up and stay alert in late rounds. "It definitely makes a difference" says
Rick Noble, trainer of Carina Moreno, the current woman's World 105 lb Champ. "Her recovery
between rounds has improved since using the 'Lab. It doesn't substitute for conventional
training, but it puts us over the top. Something she didn't have before."
